ECNL TRYOUT SCHEDULE 2014-2015
"2014-2015 Try-Outs for ECNL Teams: Generally, the ECNL does not mandate when a club can and cannot have tryouts for its ECNL teams. However, there are rules with respect to try-outs of players on current ECNL teams. No ECNL team may have a player from another ECNL club try-out or train with that club until the end of the ECNL season, unless the player has been released following proper ECNL guidelines. In other words, clubs may have try-outs for their ECNL teams at any point, but may not train or try-out an ECNL player from another ECNL club until after the 2014-2015 ECNL National Championship. No ECNL roster may be submitted for the 2014-15 season until July 2014. The initial roster submission date will be provided in the coming weeks."
For clarification, an ECNL Player (as defined in the ECNL Competition Rules - Rule 1.10) is a player rostered on a U14, U15, U16, U17, or U18 ECNL Team. Any player that is not officially rostered on one of these teams is not an ECNL Player, and therefore is not subject to this rule. A player that has participated in JR ECNL competition, but has not been rostered at U14 and above in the ECNL, is not an ECNL Player. (It is clearly stated in Rule 1.3 that JR ECNL Competition is not ECNL Competition, and Rule 7.4 states that the ECNL roster rules in Rule 2 do not apply to JR ECNL Competition.)
